TOKYO, Nov 29 (BestGrowthStock) – Japanese retail sales fell 0.2
percent in October from a year earlier, below a median market
forecast for a 0.7 percent annual increase, government data
showed on Monday.

It was the first annual fall in 10 months after a 1.4 percent
rise in September, partly reflecting the termination of
government subsidies for purchases of fuel-efficient cars.

Details were as follows (previous figures may be revised;
economists’ median forecast in parentheses):
——————————————————-

Retail sales OCT SEPT AUG
——————————————————-

year/year -0.2 (+0.7) +1.4 +4.3
