TOKYO, March 31 (Reuters) – Prime Minister Naoto Kan may
review plans for Japan to build more than 14 additional nuclear
plants by 2030, Kyodo news agency reported on Thursday.
Japan is trying to avert a nuclear catastrophe at the
Fukushima Daiichi plant in northeastern Japan operated by Tokyo
Electric Power Co after a March 11 earthquake and
tsunami damaged cooling functions for its reactors.
