Keolis no longer eyeing Arriva’s German ops-paper

FRANKFURT, Nov 27 (BestGrowthStock) – Keolis, a unit of French
railway operator SNCF [SNCF.UL], is no longer bidding for the
German operations of Arriva, a German daily newspaper said late
on Friday, citing sources.

Keolis cited for its reason the lack of transparency in the
bidding process, Sueddeutsche Zeitung said in a pre-release of
its report appearing on Saturday.

The bidding process ends on Monday, Nov 29, it said.

It said Keolis was one of four favorites as potential
buyers, with the other three being Veolia (VIE.PA: ),
infrastructure fund Cube and Abellio, a transport provider
owned by the Dutch railway operator.

Germany’s state-owned railway operator Deutsche Bahn
[DBN.UL] bought British transport company Arriva in August, but
has to sell its German operations to fulfill EU antitrust
conditions.
