KLM says test flight reveals no damage from ash

AMSTERDAM, April 18 (BestGrowthStock) – Dutch airline KLM said on
Sunday a test flight it carried out on Saturday had revealed no
engine damage or other problems from volcanic ash and it would
run a further nine test flights.

“We have not found anything unusual and no irregularities,
which indicates the atmosphere is clean and safe to fly,” said a
spokeswoman for KLM, which is part of Air France-KLM (AIRF.PA: ).

German airline Lufthansa (LHAG.DE: ) carried out separate test
flights over its airspace by 10 aircraft on Saturday and said
post-flight inspections showed “no damage to the cockpit windows
or fuselage and no impact on the engines.” [ID:nLDE63G0J1]
