LG sees mobile phone price fall; H2 margin recovery

SEOUL, Jan 27 (BestGrowthStock) – South Korea’s LG Electronics Inc
(066570.KS: ) expects average selling prices of its mobile phones
to decline throughout this year despite volume growth, its chief
financial officer said on Wednesday.

LG, the world’s No. 3 mobile phone maker, is also likely to
see a notable recovery in its mobile phone margins in the second
half, CFO David Jung told reporters on the sidelines of an
investor meeting.

LG suffered a drop in handset margins in the fourth quarter
due to marketing spending, and concerns linger over its weak
smartphone lineup. LG aims to sell 140 million mobile phones this
year, up from 118 million last year.
