Libyan government confirms foreign minister resignation

TRIPOLI (Reuters) – A Libyan government spokesman on Thursday confirmed that Foreign Minister Moussa Koussa had resigned but said he did not know of any other official who had resigned or left the country.

“We now understand he (Koussa) has resigned from his position … It was his personal decision,” spokesman Mussa Ibrahim told reporters at a briefing.
