Mexican stocks jump on U.S. economy optimism

MEXICO CITY, March 30 (Reuters) – Mexican stocks rose
sharply on Wednesday as investors bet this week’s U.S. payrolls
data and upcoming earnings reports will boost confidence in the
economic recovery of the United States, Mexico’s top trading
partner.

The IPC stock index (.MXX: Quote, Profile, Research) gained 1.13 percent to 37,212
points.
