Mexico shuts Gulf oil ports due to bad weather

MEXICO CITY, Jan 31 (BestGrowthStock) – Mexico’s three main oil
ports in the Gulf of Mexico were closed on Sunday due to poor
weather, the government said.

Mexico, a major oil supplier to the United States, shut the
Coatzacoalcos, Cayo Arcas and Dos Bocas oil export terminals,
the communications and transport ministry said in a statement.

Dos Bocas was closed on Saturday and Coatzacoalcos and Cayo
had remained open but were closed on Sunday.

Weather-related port closures are common for Mexico’s Gulf
Coast ports, but long shutdowns can force state oil company
Pemex [PEMEX.UL] to cut output as it has limited onshore
storage capacity.
