Microsoft buys mobile applications firm Accompli

The technology company Microsoft announced today the purchase of the Accompli firm, known for developing innovative mobile applications for iOS and Android operating systems.

Microsoft did not disclose the amount of the transaction but various technological means such as Recode website indicated that the transaction is around $ 200 million.

“This acquisition is part of our strategy to help people achieve more with their mobile devices,” said in a statement distributed through the blog of Microsoft Rajesh Jah, corporate vice president of Outlook and Office 365.

Microsoft introduced this year its Office platform iPads iPhone tablets and phones, and recently announced that the system will also be available on devices equipped with Android.

“In a world where more than half of the emails are read first mobile devices is essential to allow people to have a great experience wherever they go,” said Jah.

Microsoft noted that the application developed by Accompli allows users to concentrate on the important emails in your inbox, organize meetings and work with attachments and files.
