Nikkei futures tumble after Japan quake

NEW YORK (Reuters) – U.S. dollar-denominated Nikkei futures fell on Thursday after reports of an earthquake in Japan and subsequent tsunami warning for the country’s northeast.

Nikkei futures hit a low of 9,495 for the day, off 1.9 percent, before bouncing back to 9,560 at a 1.2 percent decline.
