Nikkei gains but seen stuck in tight band despite yen

TOKYO, April 6 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei average opened
slightly higher on Wednesday but was seen stuck in a narrow
range, with resource-related shares seen climbing on the back of
surging commodity prices and blue-chip exporters supported as
the yen weakened against the dollar.
The benchmark Nikkei opened up 0.6 percent at
9,668.11, while the broader Topix gained 0.3 percent to
850.00.
