Northeast turns frigid, Plains less cold

NEW YORK (BestGrowthStock) – After a balmy weekend, the Northeast turned frigid on Monday as an Arctic wind blew in. Snow showers were forecast for the interior of New England.

It was bitter cold over the weekend in the Plains hard red winter wheat area, but there was little to no harm to the crop thanks to a blanket of insulating snow cover.

The weather for this week was not forecast to be as cold, but outlooks for another sharp drop of temperatures next week bear watching for the Plains and the Midwest.
