Obama: Simplify tax code for individuals and firms

FAIRLESS HILLS, Pennsylvania (Reuters) – President Barack Obama said on Wednesday that he was eager to simplify the U.S. tax code for individuals as well as companies to make taxes fairer and reduce the burden of filing a return.

“What you pay in taxes should not depend on how good your lawyer is or how good your accountant is,” Obama told a town-hall style event in Pennsylvania.
