PG&E seeks delay in Diablo Canyon nuclear renewal

HOUSTON, April 11 (Reuters) – PG&E Corp’s (PCG.N: Quote, Profile, Research) Pacific
Gas and Electric utility has asked nuclear regulators to delay
the processing of an application to extend the life of its
two-unit Diablo Canyon nuclear plant in California while it
works to complete additional seismic studies.

The utility sent a letter to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory
Commission seeking a delay, citing the nuclear crisis in
Japan.
