Romania’s economy ministry said it has lowered gas imports
for Wednesday to 8.8 million cubic metres, after boosting them
the previous day amid an energy emergency due to freezing
weather.

Unemployment in Romania could still rise until the half of
this year and potentially reach one million jobless, from the

COLD WEATHER DEATH TOLL

Ten more people died of severe hypothermia in Romania from
Tuesday to Wednesday due to freezing temperatures, bringing the
toll to 41 deaths, the health ministry said in a statement.
