Swiss stocks – Factors to watch on Dec 7

ZURICH, Dec 7 (BestGrowthStock) – Swiss stocks are set to open
slightly higher despite ongoing nerves in global markets after
Monday’s decision by euro zone ministers to take no new steps to
quell the debt crisis.

The Swiss blue-chip index SMI (.SSMI: ) was indicated to rise
9 points to 6,423 points, premarket data provided by bank

France’s richest woman, L’Oreal (OREP.PA: ) heiress Liliane
Bettencourt, and her daughter said on Monday they had settled a
family feud that had led to tax and political funding
investigations. Nestle owns 30 percent in L’Oreal.

UNION BANCAIRE PRIVEE

Irving Picard, U.S. court-appointed trustee seeking to
recover funds for investors defrauded by Bernard Madoff,
announced a settlement of $500 million with UBP and a related
fund, M-Invest Limited, incorporated in the Cayman Islands.

* The Swiss unemployment rate rose to a non-seasonally
adjusted 3.6 percent in November from 3.5 percent in the
