TABLE-Japan jobless rate 5.1 pct, job availability dips

TOKYO, May 28 (BestGrowthStock) – Japan’s jobless rate rose in April
and the availability of jobs dropped for the first time in eight
months.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose to 5.1 percent
from 5.0 percent in March, higher than a median market forecast
of 5.0 percent, data from the Internal Affairs ministry showed on
Friday. [JPUNR=ECI]

The jobs-to-applicants ratio dipped to 0.48 from 0.49 in
March, the first fall since August, when it dropped to a record
low of 0.42. [JPJOBA=ECI]
