TABLE-Japan non-mini auto sales up 33.5 pct in April

TOKYO, May 6 (BestGrowthStock) – Automobile sales in Japan, excluding
660cc minivehicles, rose 33.5 percent in April from a year
earlier to 222,095 vehicles, the Japan Automobile Dealers
Association said on Thursday.

Sales at top-ranked Toyota Motor Corp (7203.T: ), excluding the
Lexus brand, climbed 50 percent, while Nissan Motor Co (7201.T: )
rose 31.0 percent and Honda Motor Co (7267.T: ) gained 13.3
percent.

For the January to April period, sales totalled 1,198,640
units, up 35.9 percent from a year earlier.
