Taiwan’s Acer sees Q4 revenue up 5-10 pct

TAIPEI, Oct 29 (BestGrowthStock) – Taiwan’s Acer Inc (2353.TW: ), the
world No.2 PC vendor, said on Friday its revenues in the fourth
quarter are set to rise by 5 percent to 10 percent over the third
quarter.

Acer CEO Gianfranco Lanci also told an investor conference
that 2011 branded PC revenues are likely to grow 10 percent to 15
percent from this year.

Acer posted a 24 percent rise in third-quarter net profit
last week, in line with market expectations. [ID:nTOE69J07U]

By unit shipments, Acer had a 13 percent of the global PC
market in the third quarter of 2010, trailing only
Hewlett-Packard’s (HQP.N: ) 17.6 percent, according to research
firm IDC.

The forecasts came after the Taipei stock market closed on
Friday. Acer shares rose 3 percent against a 0.8 percent fall in
the main TAIEX index.
