Tropical storm could hit Texas-Mexico border Thursday

NEW YORK (BestGrowthStock) – A tropical storm might hit the Texas-Mexico border Thursday afternoon, the U.S. National Hurricane Center forecast.

Currently, the storm system is a tropical depression. With winds of 35 miles per hour, the depression was located about 160 miles east-southeast of Brownsville, Texas, according to the NHC.

If it does strengthen into a tropical storm, it would be named Bonnie. Tropical storms pack winds of 39 to 73 mph.

With the system so close to the coast, all of the weather models projected, along with the NHC, that it would make landfall near the Texas-Mexico border.
