TSE says to consider extending trading hours

TOKYO, July 26 (BestGrowthStock) – Tokyo Stock Exchange [TSE.UL] said
on Monday it will consider extending its trading hours as it aims
to boost volumes and fend off competition from rival exchanges in
Asia.

The exchange, the world’s second-largest, said it may
shorten or abolish a 90-minute lunch break as well as look into
establishing an evening session.

Cash trading at TSE now starts at 9 a.m. (0000 GMT) and ends
at 3 p.m. with a lunch break between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
