TSMC fires manager arrested in US insider trading probe

TAIPEI, Dec 17 (BestGrowthStock) – TSMC (2330.TW: ) said on Friday an
account manager who had been arrested on charges of leaking
confidential information has been fired for violating company
policies.

“We fired him yesterday because he violated several company
policies,” said Elizabeth Sun, a TSMC (TSM.N: ) spokeswoman.

Manosha Karunatilaka, an account manager for TSMC in
Burlington, Massachusetts, was one of four people arrested on
charges of leaking secrets about technology companies to hedge
funds, including details about Apple Inc (Read more about Apple stock future.)’s (AAPL.O: ) iPad ahead of
its launch, in a widening U.S. probe into insider trading.
