Two NY men charged with aiding al Qaeda-prosecutors

NEW YORK, April 30 (BestGrowthStock) – Two New York men have been
charged with providing material support to Osama bin Laden’s al
Qaeda network, prosecutors said on Friday.

Wesam El-Hanafi and Sabirhan Hasanoff were accused of
agreeing “to provide al Qaeda with, among other things,
computer advice and assistance, services, and currency, knowing
that al Qaeda had engaged and was engaging in terrorist
activity,” the federal indictment said.

Al Qaeda is blamed for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the
World Trade Center in New York City.
