U.S. deficit panel postpones vote on plan

WASHINGTON, Nov 30 (BestGrowthStock) – A presidential commission
looking for ways to slash the U.S. budget deficit has postponed
by two days a vote on its final plan, commission co-Chairmen
Alan Simpson and Erskine Bowles said on Tuesday.

The two told reporters at a briefing that the final plan
will be unveiled on Wednesday and the commission’s 18 members
will vote on it on Friday. The plan would need to be backed by
at least 14 members to trigger a congressional vote, under the
February mandate from President Barack Obama that created the
panel.
