U.S. EPA asks for details about fracking fluids

WASHINGTON, Sept 9 (BestGrowthStock) – The U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency on Thursday said it has asked nine major oil
services companies to voluntarily provide details about
chemicals used in a natural gas drilling practice opposed by
environmental groups worried about drinking water supplies.

Companies asked to provide information about their
hydraulic fracturing fluids include Halliburton (HAL.N: ) and
Schlumberger (SLB.N: ).
