U.S. Goldman case has no link to France yet -AMF

PARIS, April 19 (BestGrowthStock) – France’s financial markets
watchdog AMF said on Monday it had not found any evidence of
fraudulent activity in France in relation to U.S. Securities and
Exchange Commission probe into Goldman Sachs (GS.N: ).

“At this point, we do not have any elements that would make
us think that possible fraudulent activities could have been
perpetrated in France,” a spokeswoman for the AMF told Reuters.

She added that the AMF planned to co-operate with the U.S.
SEC if necessary.

Goldman Sachs, Wall Street’s biggest bank, is accused of
marketing a debt product tied to subprime mortgages that the
SEC says was destined to fail.
