U.S. will "clean house" on oil industry ties-W.House

WASHINGTON, June 2 (BestGrowthStock) – The White House pledged on
Wednesday to “clean house” if government officials were found
to be too close to the oil industry in the wake of the BP oil
spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

“We will hold BP and other responsible parties
accountable,” Carol Browner, President Barack Obama’s top
energy adviser, said in a statement.

“And where government officials have been too cozy with the
oil industry — a problem that goes back a decade — we will
clean house,” she said.
