UK Stocks — Factors to watch on Oct 19

LONDON, Oct 19 (BestGrowthStock) – Britain’s FTSE 100 (.FTSE: ) index
is seen shedding 12 to 15 points, or as much as 0.3 percent, on
Tuesday, according to financial bookmakers.

The UK blue chip index closed 39.15 points, or 0.7 percent,
higher at 5,742.52 on Monday, after falling on Thursday and
Friday, boosted by oils and banks, with better-than-expected
results from Citigroup (C.N: ) and hopes of more U.S. economic
stimulus improving sentiment.

In terms of domestic economic data, investors were waiting
for the CBI quarterly industrial trends survey, due at 1000 GMT.

On the other side of the Atlantic, U.S. September housing
starts data is set for release at 1230 GMT.

Investors were waiting for U.S. corporate earnings from
companies including Bank of America (BAC.N: ), Goldman Sachs
(GS.N: ), Johnson & Johnson (JNJ.N: ), Coca-Cola (KO.N: ) and Yahoo
(YHOO.O: ).

PREMIER OIL (PMO.L: )

The UK-based explorer is mulling a $500 million bid for BP’s
(BP.L: ) gas production business in Pakistan, the Times newspaper

WHITBREAD (WTB.L: )

The hotel operator reports first-half results.

BUNZL (BNZL.L: )

The distributor issues a trading update.

NATIONAL EXPRESS GROUP (NEX.L: )

The bus and rail operator issues a trading update.

BELLWAY (BWY.L: )

The housebuilder reports full-year results.

INTERNATIONAL PERSONAL FINANCE (IPF.L: )

The company issues a trading update.

SENIOR (SNR.L: )

The engineering firm issues a trading update.
