UK Stocks — Factors to watch on Wednesday Nov 3

LONDON, Nov 3 (BestGrowthStock) – Britain’s FTSE 100 (.FTSE: ) is seen up 8-11 points
at open on Wednesday, supported by expectations that the U.S. Federal Reserve
will boost the economy while the outcome of the mid-term elections was seen as
business-friendly.

The blue-chip index is seen gaining around 0.2 percent after it gained 1.1
percent on Tuesday to close at 5,757.43.

The Fed is expected, after the European market closes, to announce a
programme of asset purchases of at least $500 billion via quantitative easing —
in effect printing money to buy bonds and lower borrowing costs.

This, along with a win for the Republicans in the House of Representatives,
helped to persuade investors that companies would face a more supportive
regulatory and economic environment.

This helped push U.S. index futures higher while Asian stocks outside Japan
(.MIAPJ0000PUS: ) were also firmer.

However in a sign that domestically companies still face a hostile climate,
British permanent staff appointments via recruitment agencies rose at their
slowest pace in 14 months in October, the Recruitment and Employment
Confederation said on Wednesday. [ID:nLDE6A11G5]

Meanwhile British shop price inflation rose to its highest annual rate
since January last month, due partly to surging wheat prices which helped push
food price inflation to a 16-month high, the British Retail Consortium said on
Wednesday. [ID:nLDE6A116O]

Interek Group (ITRK.L: ) and Royal Dutch Shell (RDSa.L: ) (RDSb.L: ) are both
going ex-dividend taking a combined total of 6.34 points off the index.
