UPDATE 1-CNH Global swings to Q3 profit, raises 2010 outlook

Oct 21 (BestGrowthStock) – U.S. farm and construction equipment
maker CNH Global NV (CNH.N: ) swung to a third-quarter profit (Read more your timing to make a profit.),
helped by strong sales, and raised its full-year sales outlook
for global construction equipment markets.

CNH reported third-quarter net income of $83 million, or 43
cents per share, compared with a loss of $25 million, or 9 cents
a share, a year ago. Revenue rose 20 percent to $3.5 billion.

Analysts on average expected earnings of 34 cents per share,
on revenue of $3.29 billion, according to Thomson Reuters
I/B/E/S.

CNH said it now expected global agriculture equipment
markets to be be flat to up 5 percent in 2010 and that global
construction equipment markets would grow 40-45 percent.

It had previously said it expected global agriculture
equipment markets to contract 5-10 percent this year and global
construction equipment markets to grow 15-20 percent.

CNH said it expected 2010 revenue in excess of $14.3
billion.

Its shares closed at $41.56 Wednesday.
