UPDATE 1-Ecuador reports March trade surplus $28.5 mln

(Adds details on deficit)

QUITO, May 11 (BestGrowthStock) – Ecuador registered a trade
surplus of $28.5 million in March compared with a trade deficit
of $133.5 million in the same month a year ago, the central
bank said on Tuesday.

Ecuador, an oil-producer and the world’s top banana
exporter, has reduced its trade deficit in part by imposing
restrictions on some imports.

The OPEC-member country is expecting growth of 6.81 percent
this year with an inflation target of 3.35 percent, though some
analysts see that growth figure as unrealistic.
