UPDATE 1-JA Solar profit jumps, hikes 2010 shipment view

* Q3 EPS 47 cts vs 10 cts year-ago

* Revenue $541 mln, hikes full-year shipment forecast

* Shares up 7.9 percent

NEW YORK, Nov 9 (BestGrowthStock) – JA Solar Holdings Co (JASO.O: )
said third-quarter earnings more than quadrupled, and it hiked
its full-year shipment forecast as demand surged, sending its
shares up nearly 8 percent.

Earnings rose to $77 million, or 47 cents per share, from
$17.3 million, or 10 cents per share, a year earlier.

Revenue rose to $541 million from $193 million.

The Shanghai, China-based company said it had raised its
forecast for shipments to more than 1.45 gigawatts in 2010 from
a prior outlook of 1.35 GW. Shipments in the fourth quarter are
expected to be about 450 megawatts.

Shares of JA Solar were up 7.9 percent at $10.15 in trading
before the market opened.
