April 5 (Reuters) – KB Home , the fifth-largest U.S.
homebuilder, posted a wider quarterly loss, hurt mainly by a
decrease in housing revenue.

The Los Angeles-based builder, which has operations in nine
states, including California, Colorado and Maryland, reported a
loss of $114.5 million, or $1.49 per share, compared with a loss
of $54.7 million, or 71 cents per share, a year earlier.

Revenue slipped 25 percent to $196.9 million, and net orders
fell 32 percent to 1,302 homes.
