Oct 26 (BestGrowthStock) – Kinetic Concepts Inc (KCI.N: ) posted a
higher-than-expected quarterly profit, helped in part by an 18
percent rise in sales of its regenerative medicine products and
lower interest expenses.

The company also raised the lower end of its full-year
adjusted profit outlook to $4.24-$4.29 a share from its prior
outlook of $4.19-$4.29 a share, and backed it revenue forecast.

For the July-September quarter, the maker of advanced
wound-care products earned $75.8 million, or $1.06 a share,
compared to $64.6 million, or 91 cents a share, a year ago.

Excluding items, the company earned $1.20 a share and beat
analysts’ average estimate by 11 cents, according to Thomson
Reuters I/B/E/S.

Revenue for the quarter rose slightly to $506.7 million,
but marginally missed analyst estimates of $507.9 million.

Kinetic shares, which have fallen about 4 percent since
last week when the company lost a patent lawsuit against Smith
and Nephew Plc (SN.L: ), closed at $36.55 Monday on the New York
Stock Exchange.
