HSBC Holdings (HSBA.L: )

The firm appointed Samir Assaf as chief executive of global
banking and markets effective Jan. 1, 2011. He was previously
head of global markets and a group general manager at the firm.

UBS (UBSN.VX: )

The firm appointed Gary Goh as executive director and desk
head. Goh joins from Credit Suisse (CSGN.VX: ), where he was team
leader and senior relationship manager.

UBS also appointed Tan Yeu Cheng as executive director and
cluster head. She was most recently senior vice president and
team leader within the Singapore team of DBS Private Bank.

BUTTERFIELD FULCRUM

The independent administrator for alternative investment
firms appointed Edwin Parker as director of business
development for the EMEA region based in London. He joins from
from SS&C where he served as a business development manager.

SOCIETE GENERALE CORPORATE & INVESTMENT BANKING

The investment banking arm of Societe Generale (SOGN.PA: )
appointed Christoph Roos as head of insurance & pension funds
clients for Switzerland, cross asset solutions. He was
previously heading the fixed income derivatives sales team in
Switzerland at BNP Paribas (BNP.PA: ).

SCHRODERS (SDR.L: )

The firm said Nicolaas Marais would join it as head of
multi-asset solutions in March 2011. Marais is currently global
head of active portfolio management in BlackRock’s (BLK.N: )
multi-asset client solutions group.
