* Expects deal to close in Q3

* Becker Acroma has annual sales of about $300 mln

May 24 (BestGrowthStock) – Sherwin-Williams Co (SHW.N: ), the largest
U.S. paint maker, said it will buy wood coatings maker Becker
Acroma Industrial Wood Coatings for an undisclosed sum, in a
bid to expand its global footprint.

Sweden-based Becker Acroma, a unit of AB Wilh, has annual
sales of about $300 million, Sherwin-Williams said in a
statement.

The deal, subject to regulatory approvals, is slated to
close in the third quarter.

“This acquisition reaffirms our commitment to growing
globally through organic expansion, accelerated by appropriate
acquisitions,” Sherwin-Williams’ Chief Executive Christopher
Connor said.

Becker Acroma will become a part of Sherwin-Williams’
Global Finishes Group, following the acquisition of Arch
Chemical’s (ARJ.N: ) wood coatings business Sayerlack earlier
this year.

Shares of Cleveland, Ohio-based Sherwin closed at $75.72
Friday on the New York Stock Exchange.
