NEW YORK, Feb 1 (BestGrowthStock) – Valero Energy Corp (VLO.N: ) on
Monday reported that a wet gas compressor tripped Sunday at its
325,000 barrel-per-day Port Arthur, Texas, oil refinery.
The compressor tripped and flared wet gas due to high
liquid levels in the knock out drum and the distillate drum,
Valero stated in a filing with the Texas Commission on
Environmental Quality.
“Operations added additional steam Flare-103B, and
contacted other units to reduce gas flows to SGRU-1242,” the
filing added, referring to Saturated Gas Recovery Unit 1242.
