May 6 (BestGrowthStock) – Technology licensing firm Wi-LAN Inc

higher-than-expected royalty reports from licensees, and raised
its 2010 revenue and proforma earnings outlook.

For the first quarter, the company reported net profit of
C$1.1 million, or 1 Canadian cent a share, compared with a loss
of C$1 million, or 1 Canadian cent a share, a year earlier.

Proforma earnings stood at 7 Canadian cents a share.

The company attributed the revenue increase also to royalty
payments from recently signed agreements and consideration for
sale of certain patent assets.

C$43.0 million to C$47.0 million, up from its prior forecast of
C$40.0 million to C$45.0 million.

C$11 million, up from its previous outlook of C$5 million to
C$8 million.
