** Citigroup Inc (C.N: ) plans to sell its hedge fund
business with $4.2 billion worth of assets to SkyBridge Capital
LLC, in a deal that will quadruple the firm’s size.

** The Justice Department is conducting a full probe of
Comcast Corp’s (CMCSA.O: ) plan to acquire a controlling stake in
NBC Universal (GE.N: ) in a $30 billion joint venture, U.S.

** Bidding for Walt Disney Co’s (DIS.N: ) Miramax Films unit
intensified this week and one of three groups, led by Alec and
Tom Gores, has raised its $550 million offer for the art-house
studio, a source familiar with the matter said on Wednesday.

** Simon Property Group Inc (SPG.N: ) teamed up with hedge
fund Paulson & Co to try to unseat Brookfield Asset Management
(BAMa.TO: ) as the key investor in General Growth Properties Inc

Investments (AABAR.AD: ) have called off their $1.7 billion
agreement for Aabar to take over Arabtec, with analysts saying
Arabtec no longer needed it with Dubai’s debt repayment plan.

** PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLKM.JK: ), Indonesia’s
biggest telecoms firm, said it had picked Macquarie Group Ltd
(MQG.AX: ) to advise on a telecoms tower deal worth up to $1.2
billion, adding it plans to list the tower unit.

** German carmaker Daimler (DAIGn.DE: ) will almost entirely
sever business ties to Iran amid growing pressure on the
Islamic republic to curb its nuclear programme, Daimler’s chief

list of suitors for its 3 billion-pound ($4.6 billion) payment
