Jefferies said it hired Ashley Delp as managing director
and head of U.S. equity syndicate, and David Bohn as managing
director and head of private placements. Delp joins Jefferies
from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, while Bohn previously
worked at Cowen & Co.


The firm said Thomas Sage has joined the Houston office as
a partner in the public law practice group. Nathelie Ashby also
joined the firm as an associate in the public law practice

KBW Inc (KBW.N: )

The investment bank, which specializes in the financial
services sector, said it expanded into Asia. Headquartered in
Hong Kong with an additional office in Tokyo, Keefe, Bruyette &
Woods Asia Ltd (KBW Asia) is fully integrated with the firm’s
other business units in the United States and Europe. KBW said
20 people have joined the firm’s Hong Kong and Tokyo offices.

Senior hires include David Threadgold as head of research
in Asia; Warren Blight as lead analyst covering China/Hong Kong
banks; Brian Hunsaker is responsible for coverage of banks in
Korea, Singapore and India; Sam Hilton as equity research
analyst responsible for coverage of South East Asian and
Taiwanese banks and Asian exchanges; Jun Osihi will cover
Japanese regional banks and brokers; Andre Carey as head of
equity trading for KBW Asia; Lye Keong Tho and Natasha Tariq as
senior salespeople; and Zachry Rosenberg as head of capital
markets Asia.


The financial services group named Simon Western as
managing director in investment banking. Western, who will be
based in New York, joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch
(BAC.N: ).


The financial research and advisory services provider said
Aaron Kessler joined its Internet research team. Kessler was
earlier working with Kaufman Brothers.


The online trading and investment firm named Gustave
Rieunier as global head of FX options and forward trading. He
will be based in Copenhagen. Rieunier was earlier working with
State Street Bank and Trust.
