Fidelity Investments said on Wednesday it hired former top
U.S. Treasury official Karthik Ramanathan to a new position in
its bond group. [ID:nN21196254]


RBC Capital Markets announced that Michael Meyer will be
managing director and head of high yield/loan sales and trading
in the firm’s U.S. Fixed Income and Currencies business. He
previously worked for Bank of America Merrill Lynch.


Macquarie Group’s Energy Markets Division announced that
Robert Faitell will join as a Senior Managing Director and Head
of Americas Sales and Origination in the firm’s New York
office, effective July 2010.


The independent investment bank announced the hiring of
Jason DiLullo, George F. Boutros, and Ian W. MacLeod.

DiLullo, who was named a senior partner, previously was
with Credit Suisse. George F. Boutros, who will be a senior
partner and senior director, previously was with Credit Suisse.
MacLeod, who will be a partner and head of global software and
services investment banking, was with Goldman Sachs.


Brown Brothers on Wednesday said it has appointed R.
Charles Shufeldt as a senior adviser to the firm. Shufeldt will
work with BBH’s Investment Management division with a specific
emphasis on private equity investing.


The Association of British Insurers said its Director of
Investment Affairs Peter Montagnon is to leave the organisation
to take up a new role at the Financial Reporting Council.
Montagnon will leave the ABI on May 14 ahead of taking up his
new role on June 1.

HSBC said it has appointed former Nomura (8604.T: ) executive
Jane Wang as head of its corporate finance business in China,
the latest ex-Lehman banker to leave the Japanese firm.


The law firm said it expanded its London banking and
finance practice with the appointment of new associate Satarupa

Chakravortty joins Jones Day from Ashurst where she was an
associate in the banking and finance practice.


The firm said Jeff Schuth would be transferred to the
firm’s London office from New York to take up the new regional
role of solutions development director for EMEA corporate
solutions, in the beginning of June.

Schuth is currently a managing director in the firm’s
Americas solutions development group.


The group named Carol Simon executive vice president, risk
management and Cynthia Tazioli head of sales and relationship

Simon had her own consultancy on risk management and prior
to that she was managing director and global head of hedge fund
credit at Deutsche Bank (DBKGn.DE: ) in New York.

Tazioli has previously led the business development team
focussed on Radianz North American provider community at BT
