Swiss bank UBS AG has appointed Philip Partnow as head of
China mergers and acquisitions and created two new industry
groups to capture business opportunities.

Hongpeng Si and Huai Yang have been named joint heads of
China general industrials group, while Wencheng Liu and Yiwen
Gao will become joint heads of China financial industrials

HSBC named Chetan Patni from J.P. Morgan India as managing
director, head of execution and sales trading in India. Gerardo
Pablo joined as head of program trading for Asia Pacific from

Alex Lupis joins from Citi as head of corporate access,
Asia Pacific; and Sung Choi was appointed head of international

Citigroup said on late Tuesday it has hired Alex
Hayes-Griffin to join its capital markets team in Sydney.
Hayes-Griffin joins from HSBC in Hong Kong and will replace
David Bailey who is transferring to New York to take a role in

BOFA MERRILL LYNCH (BAC.N: )

Bank of America Corp’s Merrill Lynch wealth management unit
said on Tuesday it has hired L. Scott Horrall as an adviser

BNY MELLON WEALTH MANAGEMENT

The unit of The Bank of New York Mellon Corp (BK.N: )
appointed two new hires on Tuesday for its San Francisco
office. Robert Pitti from Argus Capital Management was
appointed senior director of portfolio management and Leigh
Wasson was appointed senior director. Wasson was previously
with Citi Private Bank. Dustin Dippel was promoted to portfolio
manager.
