NEW YORK, Jan 27 (BestGrowthStock) – U.S. money market fund assets
fell by $13.75 billion to $3.19 trillion in the week ended Jan.
26, the Money Fund Report said on Wednesday.

Taxable money market fund assets fell by $11.11 billion to
$2.80 trillion, while tax-free assets were down $2.65 billion
at $390.97 billion, according to the report, published by
iMoneyNet.

Yields on taxable money market funds held at the record-low
0.03 percent they first reached on Nov. 24, 2009.

The taxable fund yield figure tracks the Federal Reserve’s
interest rates, which the Fed voted to keep near zero earlier
in the day, vowing that those rates will remain low as long as
high unemployment continues to plague the U.S. economic
recovery. [ID:nN27180815].

Tax-free and municipal fund yields also remained at an
all-time low of 0.02 for a third straight week, according to
the report.
