US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Bank shares drag Wall St lower

NEW YORK, Oct 14 (BestGrowthStock) – Bank shares led stocks lower
on Thursday as investors fretted that a widening foreclosure
crisis could undermine the market’s strength over the last five
weeks.

* The Dow Jones industrial average (.DJI: ) edged down 1.51
points, or 0.01 percent, to end unofficially at 11,094.57. The
Standard & Poor’s 500 Index (.SPX: ) eased 4.29 points, or 0.36
percent, to finish unofficially at 1,173.81. The Nasdaq
Composite Index (.IXIC: ) shed 5.85 points, or 0.24 percent, to
close unofficially at 2,435.38.
