US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-U.S. stocks pare gains in late sell-off

NEW YORK, April 5 (Reuters) – U.S. stocks pared gains with
major indexes briefly turning negative on Tuesday, as
investors booked profits in late afternoon trade.

The Dow Jones industrial average (.DJI: Quote, Profile, Research) was up 3.22
points, or 0.03 percent, at 12,403.25. The Standard & Poor’s
500 Index (.SPX: Quote, Profile, Research) was up 0.54 points, or 0.04 percent, at
1,333.41. The Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC: Quote, Profile, Research) was up 1.54
points, or 0.06 percent, at 2,790.73.
