US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Wall St ends down on worries about Europe

NEW YORK, May 24 (BestGrowthStock) – U.S. stocks (Read more about the stock market today. ) ended lower on
Monday, with the Dow posting its lowest close since Feb. 10,
as fresh worries about Europe’s banking system weighed on
sentiment.

Based on the latest available data, the Dow Jones
industrial average (.DJI: ) fell 126.82 points, or 1.24 percent,
to end unofficially at 10,066.57. The Standard & Poor’s 500
Index (.SPX: ) was down 14.04 points, or 1.29 percent, to finish
unofficially at 1,073.65. The Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC: )
was down 15.49 points, or 0.69 percent, to close unofficially
at 2,213.55.
