US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Wall St ends up after FedEx, home sales

NEW YORK, July 26 (BestGrowthStock) – U.S. stocks (Read more about the stock market today. ) ended higher on
Monday, and the S&P 500 index stayed above 1,100 for a second
day, after an upbeat outlook from FedEx (FDX.N: ) and
encouraging home sales.

Based on the latest available data, the Dow Jones
industrial average (.DJI: ) was up 100.81 points, or 0.97
percent, to end unofficially at 10,525.43. The Standard &
Poor’s 500 Index (.SPX: ) was up 12.35 points, or 1.12 percent,
to finish unofficially at 1,115.01. The Nasdaq Composite Index
(.IXIC: ) was up 26.96 points, or 1.19 percent, to close
unofficially at 2,296.43.
