US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Wall St off 1 pct after Philly Fed data

NEW YORK, Aug 19 (BestGrowthStock) – U.S. stocks (Read more about the stock market today. ) fell more than 1
percent on Thursday after data showed the Philadelphia Fed’s
business conditions index dropped to its lowest level since
July 2009.

The Dow Jones industrial average (.DJI: ) lost 140.32 points,
or 1.35 percent, to 10,275.22. The Standard & Poor’s 500 (.SPX: )
fell 15.39 points, or 1.41 percent, to 1,078.77. The Nasdaq
Composite (.IXIC: ) tumbled 27.37 points, or 1.24 percent, to
2,188.33.
