US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Wall St opens up after strong China data

NEW YORK, Nov 1 (BestGrowthStock) – U.S. stocks (Read more about the stock market today. ) opened higher on
Monday as strong Chinese factory data prompted investors to
head for more risky assets.

The Dow Jones industrial average (.DJI: ) jumped 52.82
points, or 0.48 percent, at 11,171.31. The Standard & Poor’s
500 Index (.SPX: ) was up 6.42 points, or 0.54 percent, at
1,189.68. The Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC: ) gained 14.44
points, or 0.58 percent, at 2,521.85.
