US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Wall St slips on continued growth worries

NEW YORK, Aug 25 (BestGrowthStock) – U.S. stocks (Read more about the stock market today. ) opened lower on
Wednesday after much weaker-than-expected July orders for
long-lasting U.S. manufactured goods suggested a slowdown in
manufacturing.

The Dow Jones industrial average (.DJI: ) fell 31.48 points,
or 0.31 percent, to 10,008.97. The Standard & Poor’s 500 (.SPX: )
lost 4.25 points, or 0.40 percent, to 1,047.62. The Nasdaq
Composite (.IXIC: ) dropped 10.72 points, or 0.50 percent, to
2,113.04.
